The bike is a Honda Steed VLX 600 (1995)
The reason for choosing this bike for my project was
living in Thailand, this bike is cheap and easy to get parts
It has a great base structure to get started on reliability is second to none..

This how she first looked in 2008, i installed forward controls, matching pillion foot pegs, drag bar and a swinging arm cover.

Next came the hand built custom pipes, indicator grips, side mounted numberplate and belt drive. So this was the end of the first years project.

In 2009 came all the front end work, +18 degrees rake and 10 inch overs, double headlight, motogadet Digital speedo, custom built aircleaner to match the pipes, chrome side panels and a chin spoiler

November 2010 will be the start of the back end, making new swinging arm to fit the 18" x 8.5" wheel which will take a 240 tyre

Most of the real fabrication will start in November this year, with the big wheel. a new swinging arm with a short cut fender welded to it  designing a new rear frame for twin seats, much like the Harley Rocker.

November 2011, fabrication of a tear drop tank and side panels will start.
To finish off a nice paint job, black cola base with orange candy ghost flames.

What influenced me, probably my age, time to stop trying to kill myself on those Jap sports bikes. Also the Tv series “the great biker build-off” and American Chopper may have at something to to with it.  Mat Hotch, builds the most beautiful bikes out of them all, if I could build like him I would be the happiest man on earth.
If money allows it, maybe one day I could compete against him.
But for now just trying to finish my bike and enter it into some shows around Thailand will be great.
